🍳Who doesn't love a fried egg? So we have decided to put them on a sweater, just simple as that!
🎯Level - Beginner: This is designed for the absolute beginner! On average you can finish this sweater in less than 14 hours. But we don't usually suggest a timeframe for knitting because we want everyone to go at their own pace.
✔️Skill - After this project, you will master the following essential skills in knitting:
Knit, purl, circular knitting, decrease (k2tog and p2tog), picking up stitches for sleeves, magic loop (for the sleeve and cuff), seaming for both sides and shoulders, Intarsia
Unsure if this is too hard for you? Don't worry, we have video tutorials to walk you through the techniques you need to knit this sweater!
- Chunky Cloud
- Knitting pattern
- Weaving needle
- Mini sewing label
You will need the following tools as an optional purchase (as a lot of knitters have already got them), other than the items listed above:
- A pair of 15mm circular knitting needles
- A pair of 10mm circular knitting needles
NOTE: you need both of these needles for this sweater!
Note: please allow possible 2-4cm discrepancy due to hand measure and knitting tension :)
💖Knitato wants to offer everyone the opportunity to discover how beautiful it is to make something or receive something handmade. 💖
This was my first ever knit project and it turned out way better than I expected! It was tricky at the start, but Karen provided great instructions which definitely helped me a lot.
Had some trouble but Karen answer all my questions
The packaging was cute. It’s the first sweater I’ve ever knitted I’ve only knitted one beanie before. The last couple of steps on the sleeves didn’t seem right for the M-L pattern as it was going up and down in stitches after k2tog so the stitch count should have only been decreasing. Also there was not enough yarn to complete the project in the box which was upsetting as it cost quite a bit and I had very short cast on stitches with the white wool so it sucks I ran out. Would’ve been good to have been given a whole white ball of wool rather than 100g…
Karen helped me fix the steps I’d missed and also arranged to send some more yarn so I could finish the project! Happy knitting 🧶
I'm blown away by the quality and attention to detail that Knitato puts into every aspect of its products and services. I'm one sleeve away from a gorgeous 100% merino wool sweater that I can't wait to wear and it's all thanks to Knitato's beautiful kit, which includes incredibly detailed instructions AND access to easy-to-follow YouTube tutorials. Absolutely amazing, especially considering this is only the second thing I ever knitted! The first was a cardigan that ended up as a cat blanket - just shows how much difference Knitato makes! LOL
Love it so much I could cry
The cutest thing ever! The packaging was so nice too.

Love love LOVE it and wear it every day
I ordered the fried egg sweater knit kit to beat the Sydney Lockdown blues, and It really got me through some rough times. Knitting up this beautiful turquoise sweater and cheerful egg design brought me so much joy, and I still wear the jumper every single day. I highly recommend Knitato's knit kits for a plucky beginner that wants to learn how to make a wearable garment and intarsia. I learned so much from this knit kit and I think many others will too! The wool is lovely and high quality, and it's great to support Australian wool and Australian independent businesses. Thank you so much Knitato <3
I was so nervous to start cabling but gave this a go anyway. When I was getting confused, I reached out and almost immediately got a response and some helpful tips on getting the cabling right! Highly recommend to beginnings looking for a challenge!
I absolutely love all the Knitato yarns I’ve purchased (and trust me, there’s a lot!) but moss has to be one of my favourites! Such a beautiful colour (especially in the sunshine!) and the yarn is of the utmost quality! Highly and obsessively recommend Knitato to anyone who will listen! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
