I'm a beginner at knitting, and I absolutely love this kit!
The yarn is incredibly soft and fluffy, with a beautiful color that makes it feel extra special. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to knit a nice design and quality
Finished it in a week and loved working on it!! The yarn is so fluffy and soft so it took me a while to get used to but the instructions and videos were perfect for helping me create my first bonnet.
Makes me excited for winter so I can wear it more.
I made the bonnet in the yellow colour and I absolutely love it! 💛 The instructions were super easy to follow, and the video tutorials were incredibly helpful—so detailed and clear. It’s rare to find a knit kit that comes with this level of support. Gonna be wearing this every day now!
I wanted to love this kit! Supporting smaller knit kits instead of the big corps. But a few reccs and advice for those undertaking this kit.
First off, the colours of the yarn are very different in person. Great to see new photos have been added to the site. The yarn is tricky to work with, as a heads up and you need more stitch markers than are in the kit.
The written pattern doesn't match the video, so you've got to work between the two, and refer to outside sources. The video and the pattern don't provide any detailed instructions, like advising and showing how to identify sides of the piece you're working on, making it a super frustrating guessing game. There aren't clear pictures of the piece anywhere (pattern or online), so hard to guess if you're working correctly (until it's too late!). The written pattern switches between using the stitch names (i.e: ribbing stitch, or saying something like K1, P1) and uses slightly different abbreviations than standard, so guessed it (i.e: SKPO?).
The video has reeeallyy long slow explained sections for easy parts, and no explanation or demonstration of the trickier parts (here's 3mins of stitching down the brim, 10secs for a complex step, and nothing for another step). I'd flip between multiple videos of other bonnet kits to try figure out what I was supposed to be doing with this kit.
I'd still recommend this kit. But first off, watch the whole video (0.5speed) and try map it back to the written instructions. Where the written instructions say "watch the video", it is not actually explained, so you'll need to find alternative sources. Put at 0.25x speed on the parts where there are "transitions" to try figure out how the piece has been moved. Ensure you use markers and note in your working what these mean. "Make sure you finish on a purl row so the next row is a knit row" means only do the purl row, then move onto the reducing stitches steps. There is no video for the final steps, but some other creators have good videos demonstrating the steps.
The branding is super cute.
Hi Briana,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review — we really appreciate your support for small knit kit brands like ours!
We’re sorry to hear parts of the process felt frustrating. This kit is designed for confident beginners, which is why the custom video focuses on trickier steps like picking up stitches for the bonnet body, rather than covering basic techniques like identifying the right and wrong side. That said, we do provide a playlist with beginner-friendly videos for those basics — definitely worth checking out before you start.
Regarding the tools, the kit includes 2 stitch markers and stitch hooks, which are intended to be enough for this project, but we understand that some knitters may prefer to use extras based on their personal knitting style.
Thank you also for flagging the colour difference — we’ve since updated the online photos to appear darker and more accurate, so your feedback was super helpful!
As for SKPO, it’s a standard abbreviation used in knitting, particularly for decreases. There’s also a video in the playlist that shows how to do it step by step.
Thanks again for your honest feedback and for still recommending the kit — we really appreciate it, and hope your next project brings more joy and less guesswork! ✨

As someone who had previously only knit scarves and small pouches, I found the pattern easy to understand and finished it off feeling really confident in my new skills! The yarn itself is super soft and really warm for the autumn/winter months! Overall great kit and the packaging made it feel so cute and special :))
